Projected Field HTS Magnet

PF-1G (Bi-2223): Achieves up to 2.6  T ~1 mm above the surface, ~3-phase input (~3.6–5.6 kW), very compact at field pole.

PF-2G (ReBCO): Offers a peak field of >2.0  T ~2 mm above the surface, at just 26 kg total mass. Consumes <400 W on a single-phase outlet and ramps in under 1 minute—making it a genuine benchtop, maintenance-free solution.

Features

HTS-110’s Projected Field magnet platform delivers 2+ T performance in a compact, bench-top format—ideal for scanning probe (SPM), tunneling microscopy (STM), spintronics, and more. By concentrating the field just above the pole tip, each system provides a uniform, easily accessible region with minimal vibration.

The newly released (March 2025) PF‑2G model leverages second-generation HTS wire technology and an integrated cryocooler, requiring only a standard single-phase outlet. This truly benchtop approach simplifies installation and reduces operational overhead—perfect for labs prioritising fast ramps, low noise, and broad sample access.

Projected Field Geometry. Creates a stable region just above the magnet for unobstructed sample positioning.

Low Vibration. Minimises mechanical noise for sensitive AFM, MOKE, and magneto-optic studies.

High Thermal Stability. HTS (ReBCO or Bi2223) minimises quench risk and simplify cryocooler loads.

Cryogen‐Free. Eliminate liquid helium, simplify logistics and cut overhead costs.

Compact & Portable. Integrates onboard cryocooler in a 15 kg or 55 kg system—simple bench setups.

Benchtop Power. PG-2G runs <400 W on single-phase supply.
