HF Shielded Solenoid HTS Magnet

Our HF range of cryogen-free, passively-shielded solenoids delivers high magnetic fields in a compact, versatile package. Designed for straightforward integration into laboratory environments, these systems provide field strengths of up to 18 tesla with minimal fringe fields, making them ideal for experiments using sensitive equipment.

Features

  • High-Field Performance in a Compact Design: Our HF solenoids are engineered to deliver powerful magnetic fields while minimising spatial and operational demands.
    • Up to 18 T in a Shielded Package: Achieve high-field strength for demanding applications, while integrated passive shielding keeps the 5 Gauss fringe field line typically less than 200 mm from the magnet surface, protecting nearby sensitive equipment. Additional shielding can be implemented on request.
    • Generous Sample Access: Standard models feature a room-temperature bore of up to 80 mm, providing ample space for a wide range of sample environments and probes.

Simplified, Cryogen-Free Operation: By eliminating the need for liquid cryogens, the HF series reduces complexity and running costs, allowing you to focus on your research.

    • No Liquid Helium or Nitrogen: A high-reliability, closed-cycle cryocooler removes the cost and logistical challenges of sourcing and handling liquid cryogens.
    • Maximise Experimental Throughput: Fast ramp rates (typically zero to full field in under 300 seconds) and rapid system cooldown times enable you to acquire more data in less time.
    • Easy Siting and Integration: The compact, low-fringe-field design allows for installation on standard laboratory floors, with the flexibility to site the compressor and power supply up to 20 metres away.

A Versatile and Customisable Platform: The HF series is a flexible platform that can be tailored to the specific requirements of your experiment.

  • Adaptable for Multiple Techniques: The system’s performance and accessibility make it ideal for a variety of applications, including MOKE, FTMS, magnetometry, and scanning probe microscopy.
  • High Stability for Demanding Measurements: The excellent temporal stability and spatial uniformity of the HF platform make it a robust foundation for techniques requiring high-resolution analysis, such as NMR and FTMS.
  • Robust for Demanding Materials Processing: The high thermal margin available for HTS operation allows a very robust mechanical design, perfect for materials processing applications in rugged environments.
  • Optical Access & VTI Ready: The magnet is designed to be configured for optical access and readily integrates with third-party variable temperature inserts.
