New Zealand has an active and dedicated HTS
industry - from scientific research and government support through
to commercial system manufacturers.
A few of the organisations that HTS-110
is actively involved with are listed below:
- HTS Consortia - The HTS consortia is developing
HTS technology for adoption by NZ industry. The consortia
includes several Wellington organisations: HTS-110, Industrial
Research and JJ Fraser Engineering, with support from
Positively Wellington Business and NZTE. For more information

- New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE)
is the New Zealand government's national economic development
agency. HTS-110 works closely with NZTE in developing its
overseas markets. NZTE has also provided assistance to HTS-110
in terms of market research services, and trade show and expo
attendance.
- Positively Wellington Business - Positively
Wellington Business (PWB) is the business agency for the Wellington
region funded by the local city councils. PWB has helped develop
the NZ HTS consortia which HTS-110 is part of.
- Foundation for Research Science &
Technology (FRST) - The Foundation for Research, Science &
Technology invests over NZD 460 million a year in research,
science and technology (RS&T) on behalf of the New Zealand
Government to enhance the wealth and well-being of New Zealanders.
HTS-110 has been awarded a Technology for Business Growth
grant from the foundation business funding unit - Technology
New Zealand, and along with Industrial Research has been awarded
a significant funding contract for the research and development
of HTS magnet technology, recognising HTS-110s leadership
position in this market.
